Walkatjara Art Uluru is a not-for-profit, Indigenous-owned and governed community enterprise. Artists receive 50% of the sale price of their artwork, with the remainder reinvested back into our Art Centre and the Mutitjulu Community. Our business also provides employment and training opportunities for our people.
Walkatjara Art Uluru is a vibrant, creative, and positive space, bustling with artists and families. In addition to art production, we conduct important creative and cultural projects that support both young and senior artists, including trips to country to gather materials and to paint and record Tjukurpa at significant sites.

Our Country, Our Ngura
Ngura is the Pitjantjatjara, Yankunytjatjara, and Ngaanyatjarra word for ‘country.’ It describes the geography of the land and the place a person belongs to, encompassing family, language, identity, and history.
Aṉangu are the traditional custodians of this part of the Central Desert.
Walkatjara Art Uluru is the Mutitjulu Community’s Art Centre, owned and directed by Aṉangu. Most artists live and work in Mutitjulu, though many have family connections across the desert.
