Michael Aspinall

Michael Aspinall is a contemporary Aboriginal artist of Pitjantjatjara heritage, born in 1965 in Ceduna, South Australia. His artwork draws deeply from his ancestral ties to the desert landscapes of South Australia, reflecting the spiritual and environmental narratives of his people.

Aspinall's paintings are characterised by the use of synthetic polymer paints and natural ochres, often depicting themes such as salt lakes, treeless plains, and cliff faces.
